Victoria is Land Rover’s new creative design executive. Evoque will join the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport in U.S. dealerships in fall, 2011 as the smallest, lightest and most fuel efficient luxury SUV that the brand has ever produced. Land Rover didn’t release any specifications or details, apparently preferring instead to let those ooze out in a series of auto-show appearances. The party was “a very special occasion for Range Rover,” said Phil Popham, managing director of Land Rover said. “Not only are we celebrating 40 years of the brand, we are also demonstrating our exciting future by showing the all-new Range Rover Evoque.” Evoque is the direct result of a concept vehicle shown in 2008, the LRX concept car. We seemed to recall it was unveiled at the New York Auto Show that year — and Land Rover officials felt like they had a lot riding on it.
